Court Allows Union at Keene State

The New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled unanimously in April that adjunct professors at Keene State College are not temporary employees and therefore have the right to form a union. The court upheld a finding by the state's labor-relations board that the situation of adjuncts had changed drastically since the board declared them to be temporary workers, in the late 1970s.

In June 1999, the Adjunct Association of Keene State College filed a petition with the state Public Employee
