Correspondence High School's Success at Raising Athletes' GPA's Draws Scrutiny
A correspondence high school in Miami came under scrutiny last week for its remarkable success in raising the grade-point averages of high-school football players.
Representatives of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, the Florida High School Athletic Association, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools said they planned to conduct separate investigations of University High School, which lacks conventional accreditation and does not offer any classes.
