Cornell U. Announces $4-Billion Campaign

Cornell University added itself to the growing list of colleges that are seeking to raise $4-billion in private donations when its officials announced a new fund-raising campaign last week.

Columbia University recently announced its own $4-billion campaign, and Stanford University kicked off a $4.3-billion effort, the largest ever in higher education. Yale University and the University of Virginia both publicly announced $3-billion campaigns in recent weeks.
