Controversial Professor Reaches Settlement to Leave Art Institute of Chicago
Kelly Dennis is gone from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, but not forgotten.
A critical theorist and expert on pornography who claimed that she had been "stalked by Christian" students on the campus, Ms. Dennis incited passions during her three-year tenure (The Chronicle, August 13). Students described her alternately as "brilliant," the kind of "strong woman" the institute needed, and as condescending, "opinionated," and sex-obsessed.
