Controversial 'Most Wired' List Will Be Compiled Differently
An Internet magazine is changing how it compiles its controversial yearly ranking of the nation's "most wired" colleges, in part because many elite institutions have refused to participate in the magazine's surveys.
The editors of Yahoo! Internet Life say that instead of conducting their own survey this year, they will rely on survey data from an as-yet-unnamed third party, as well as on information from colleges' public Web sites.
