Consulting the Faculty About 'Virtual Temple'

To the Editor:

Allow me to clarify a statement attributed to me by Sarah Carr in her article "For-Profit Venture to Market Distance-Education Courses Stirs Concern at Temple" (December 17).

I am quoted as having said that there was "general input from selected faculty" before Temple's trustees approved the venture. This is a bit imprecise. The truth is that there were various general discussions involving administrators, deans, and faculty members on
