Considering Writing Programs' Worth
Last month an official notice went out at Vassar College announcing reductions in the creative-writing curriculum, a move that many fear will lead to the demise of my alma mater's future literary legacy. Several adjuncts (some of whom have taught Vassar writing courses for decades) have been offered reduced course loads, resulting in the loss of their health insurance.
