Congressional Committees Approve Funds for NSF and NEH, but Less Than Some Had Hoped
A U.S. House of Representatives Appropriations subcommittee last week approved a budget of $5.639-billion for the National Science Foundation in the 2004 fiscal year, an increase of about 6 percent over this year's budget, and $158-million more than the Bush administration's request of $5.481-billion.
