Congress Urged to Define 'Nonprofit'
Congress should conduct a wide-ranging evaluation of laws governing tax-exempt organizations, with an eye toward more clearly defining whether colleges and other groups deserve special treatment from the federal government, several legal experts told a hearing of the House of Representatives Ways and Means Committee in April.
