Congress Passes Bill Authorizing a Doubled NSF Budget
The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate passed legislation this month that would set them on a path toward doubling spending on the National Science Foundation over five years.
The bill, which President Bush is expected to sign, would authorize an allocation of about $5.53-billion to the NSF for the 2003 fiscal year, which began October 1.
