Congress Moves Closer to Deciding How Much to Spend in 2005
With the beginning of the federal government's 2005 fiscal year on October 1 fast approaching, Congress is quickly trying to wrap up work on spending bills so it can avoid having to pass the temporary measures to finance government operations that have been needed for the past few years.
