Conflict in Lebanon Causes Some U.S. Colleges to Suspend Study Abroad
While many American colleges and universities have decided to go forward with their study-abroad programs in Israel for the fall semester despite the military conflict there, other institutions have opted to keep their students away from the country until the spring at the earliest.
At least two institutions have suspended all their programs in Israel for this semester following the violence that erupted during the summer between Israel and the militant group Hezbollah, in Lebanon.
