Company Founder Gives Total of $4-Million to 4 Southern Colleges

The founder of one of the country's largest black-owned businesses has given $4-million to promote entrepreneurship at four Southern colleges.

Herman J. Russell, an Atlanta contractor and real-estate developer, gave $1-million each this month to Clark Atlanta University, Georgia State University, Morehouse College, and Tuskegee University, his alma mater, on the condition that the institutions match the gifts.
