Company Coordinates Colleges' Outsourcing Needs
Colleges are now outsourcing the outsourcing of campus services.
Many institutions contract out the operation of bookstores, food services, custodial duties, and other jobs. To cater to this growing market, one company, Bridger, which is based in Darien, Ill., acts as an administrative-services consultant with a specialty in outsourcing for 20 small and midsize colleges.
The costs of campus services "are too high. Nobody is monitoring them, or they're not doing it well enough,"
