Company Asserts Patent Rights to Campus-Card Technology
The simple campus card that many students use to buy books and meals at their colleges could soon be the focus of a patent-infringement fight.
The holder of a patent that covers the transfer of funds between networks via the Internet has alerted some colleges that their campus identification cards may use technology that the company says infringes on its rights.
