Community Colleges Are Central to Academe
To the Editor:
Some students attend community colleges to upgrade their skills for advancement and retraining ("It's the Community-College Life for Me," The Review, May 25). Others see community colleges as a gateway to advanced higher education; they want to go on to a four-year college or university, and this goal is encouraged by community colleges.
