Community-College Lobbying Group Names New President
Two-year colleges have a new chief advocate.
The American Association of Community Colleges last month named George R. Boggs as its ninth president. Mr. Boggs, the president of Palomar College, in San Marcos, Calif., succeeds David R. Pierce, who will retire on August 1 after nine years in the position.
The action by the association, which represents the interests of the nation's 1,200 community and technical colleges, culminated a six-month search. The
