Community College Hits Daily Double at Dog Track
Soon after Mid-South Community College in Arkansas started its first capital campaign last year, college officials sprinted to nearby Southland Greyhound Park to ask an old friend for money.
The dog track, which by law must give a portion of its profits to charity each year, had already contributed $1.4-million to the college since 1993.
