Commencement Addresses: on Independent Thought
The importance of reasoned debate and independent thought was a prominent theme in many commencement addresses this year. Speakers encouraged graduates to think critically, argue passionately, and evaluate their allegiances carefully. Following are excerpts from recent graduation speeches.
