Color Blind?
Academe is full of colorless texts, but college yearbooks usually aren't among them. This year's volume at Harvard University defies the pattern. The book is under fire for what critics call its irresponsible exclusion of all black and Latino student organizations.
Of Harvard's more than 200 student groups, 30 are featured with official photographs, candid snapshots, or blurbs. While some Asian and other minority groups are represented, no black or Latino groups made the cut.
