Colleges and Companies Team Up to Vie for Role in Army Program
At least six teams of corporations and colleges have submitted bids for a U.S. Army project to deliver distance-learning courses to soldiers all over the world. Many colleges, seeking to hedge their bets, are members of two or more competing teams.
Companies that have announced plans to compete for the contract include International Business Machines, NCS Pearson (a division of the giant publishing company), and the consulting and technology-outsourcing
