Colleges Win Grants to Reduce Cancer in Minority Groups
The National Cancer Institute last week announced grants to 14 universities to help reduce disproportionately high rates of cancer in minority groups.
The grants, totaling $60-million over five years, will support health education in communities with large minority populations, recruitment of minority volunteers for research projects, and training of clinical researchers who are members of minority groups.
