Colleges Start to Ask Whether Students Should Use Laptops in Tests
Students' use of laptop computers to take notes in classes is becoming widespread. But can they take their laptops into exams?
Some institutions say No, even if students complain that they're uncomfortable writing in longhand. Other institutions leave it up to professors to decide on a course-by-course basis. Still others are discussing the issue. And a few institutions require students to use laptops for their exams.
