Colleges Scramble to Help Students Find New Lenders
Finals are ending, and students are gearing up for jobs, internships, or summer classes. Their minds may be on money but not necessarily on making sure they have loans to cover tuition next fall or this summer.
"A lot of students, typically, they don't know lenders are dropping off," says Laymon A. Hicks, student-government president at Florida State University, who hadn't heard much about the issue himself.
