Colleges Object as Companies Put Course Notes on Web Sites
New Internet companies that pay students to take notes in classes and then post the material on the World-Wide Web are raising the ire of professors and administrators at several colleges and universities.
Visitors to the companies' sites can view the notes free, along with other academically oriented material, news and feature stories aimed at the college-student market, and, of course, advertising.
