Colleges Get Advice on Technology Staffing
Colleges struggling to find top managers for their information-technology systems would do well to focus more on good leaders than on technical experts, Brian L. Hawkins, president of Educause, said at the annual meeting of the National Association of College and University Business Officers last week.
Essential skills, he said, include understanding the politics and culture of the institution and knowing how to get people to agree to major changes in the way
