Colleges Fight to Keep Control of Their TV Spectrum
A coalition of higher-education institutions, led by community colleges, is pressing the Federal Communications Commission to drop a plan that would allow businesses to compete for educational institutions' unused broadcast spectrum. Colleges typically use the spectrum to air educational television programming.
