Colleges Cut Men's Teams
A new report by the U.S. General Accounting Office says that among colleges with large athletics programs, complying with federal gender-equity requirements was the reason most frequently cited for eliminating some men's teams. But colleges with smaller programs cited a "lack of interest" as the top reason.
