Colleges Are Cautioned About Responding to GAO Survey on File Sharing
The Government Accountability Office began asking a random group of 100 colleges and universities last month to answer a survey about peer-to-peer file sharing on their campuses.
The survey is in response to complaints from Congress and the entertainment industry that colleges are not doing enough to curb illegal file sharing among students. The American Council on Education and Educause are warning colleges that institutions that answer the survey will not be anonymous.
