College, Through the Eyes of a 9-Year-Old
A few people on the campus objected when Shana Brooks enrolled her 9-year-old daughter, Wensdai (pronounced like the day of the week), in an art class at Cabrillo College. They argued that someone so young couldn't handle the material and might distract other students at the community college in Aptos, Calif. But so far Wensdai, who is home-schooled, is keeping up with the rest of the class, according to her professor. She plans to take more courses this summer.
