College Shifts Schedule to Help Students Save on Fuel Costs
Administrators at Macon State College recently tweaked its class schedule to cut costs — mainly for its students.
The Georgia college, which follows a semester calendar, had been offering classes that met Tuesday and Thursday for 75 minutes or on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 50 minutes.
This month, as part of a pilot project, the classes that had been meeting three days each week began meeting two days, for 75 minutes, instead.
