College Officials Tapped for Key Posts by 3 Governors-Elect; Yale Tries to Use Search Process to Keep Historian of South
Many college administrators have at least an itch to do some empire-building. Last week, three -- in California, Colorado, and Minnesota -- were given unusual opportunities to scratch themselves silly.
Barry Munitz, the former chancellor of the California State University System and current president of the J. Paul Getty Trust, was named chief of the transition team for Governor-elect Gray Davis of California.
