College Official Resigns Amid Questions About Handling of Assault Cases and Crime Statistics
The vice president for student affairs at Saint Mary's College of California resigned in December amid allegations that the college had improperly reported crime statistics and mishandled sexual-assault cases.
Following complaints from students and a national watchdog group, the college plans to review its campus-safety policies and will hire an independent consultant to examine its crime statistics.
