College Board to Set Up Commercial Web Site for Students

The College Board, which sponsors the SAT, is going to start a for-profit Internet subsidiary designed to compete with on-line offerings of test-preparation companies like Princeton Review and Kaplan Educational Centers. Trustees of the 100-year-old, non-profit group voted unanimously last month to create the venture.
