College Athletes Need an Extra Layer of Coverage
On college playing fields, busted knees and sprained ankles are inevitable. The National Collegiate Athletic Association has created a rule that helps to ease at least the financial sting of such injuries.
Last year the association began requiring colleges to make sure that all of their athletes have coverage for sports-related injuries; students who lack such insurance are not allowed even to practice.
