Coalitions of Colleges and Public Schools

Public education is the Sputnik of this generation, and universities are expected, as in any perceived social crisis, to respond. A vital element of school-university coalitions that was overlooked in "States Urged to Coordinate Public-School and College Systems" (July 21) is intellectual and pedagogical sharing.
