Coach Wins Reverse-Bias Suit Against U. of California-Stanislaus
A men's basketball coach who sued his former college for reverse discrimination has won more than half a million dollars in a California court.
A jury in Stanislaus County Superior Court ruled in April that race had played a role when California State University-Stanislaus allowed Mike Terpstra's contract to expire. Mr. Terpstra, who is white, coached at Stanislaus for two years, until the summer of 2003.
