Clinton and Gore Urge Fast Network Access for On-Line Education
President Clinton and Vice-President Gore released a report last week that describes new federal efforts to encourage electronic commerce and outlines a vision for the digital marketplace. They also said that improving Internet connections -- sooner rather than later -- would help deliver distance education and other services.
Among the new efforts will be an attempt to encourage the private sector to speed up Internet access to homes
