Clinton Expected to Name New NIH Director Soon
After weeks of speculation, President Clinton is expected to announce soon whether he will nominate a new director for the National Institutes of Health.
Several agency watchers say they believe he has decided not to nominate anyone, leaving Ruth L. Kirschstein as the agency's acting director for Mr. Clinton's remaining nine months in office.
