Cleaning Up College Sports, One Debate at a Time
At a meeting of college athletics officials, the Knight Commission defends its record of upholding academic standards for athletes
The Knight Foundation Commission on Intercollegiate Athletics has little patience for colleges that do not make education a top priority for their athletes. Or so it seemed last week when members of the panel met here with a dozen college athletics officials to discuss the academic progress of the nation's college sports programs.
