Claremont McKenna College Gets $200-Million Gift
Claremont McKenna College will get the largest donation ever to a liberal-arts college, $200-million, but some faculty members are not happy about the focus of the gift, which will be used to create the college's first graduate program, in finance.
The donation is from the money manager and philanthropist Robert A. Day. It was made through his private foundation, not through the W.M. Keck Foundation, of which he is president and chief executive.
