Civil-Rights Commission Pressures Law Schools on Affirmative Action
The U.S. Commission on Civil Rights angered advocates of affirmative action last week by seeking to subject the race-conscious admissions policies of law schools to greater scrutiny while trying to free the institutions from pressure by an accreditor to keep such policies in place.
