'Chronicle' Source Is Off the Hook
The U.S. Department of Justice has declined to consider a case against a former employee of the National Endowment for the Humanities who was accused of leaking confidential information to The Chronicle more than a year ago.
The endowment had accused Julia C. Bondanella, who was assistant chairman for programs at the NEH, of disclosing information about grant applicants and employee matters, and had sought civil and criminal penalties.
