Christian Fraternity Wins Battle With U. of Missouri

The University of Missouri at Columbia is the latest institution to drop its fight against a faith-based fraternity, according to the Associated Press. The Columbia chapter of Beta Upsilon Chi, formed in April, was notified on December 7 that it must abide by campus rules barring discrimination based on religion. But university officials backed down after a lawyer for the Christian Legal Society pointed to legal precedents protecting such groups.

The University of Georgia agreed to recognize a Beta Upsilon Chi chapter this month after being sued.
