Chinese Students to Get One-Year Visas
The United States and China have agreed to offer each other's students and scholars one-year, multiple-entry visas, the U.S. Embassy in Beijing announced this month. Academic visitors traveling between the two countries now receive visas good for only six months and two entries.
The policy shift, which was to take effect on June 20, means that students and scholars will not have to return home as frequently as before to renew their visas, saving them time and money. In a written
