Chinese Government Urged to Open Dialogue on 1989 Tiananmen Square Protests
Ding Zilin, a retired philosophy professor at People's University of China, has called on the government to open a dialogue about the student-led demonstrations that rocked Beijing in the spring of 1989, and to begin an official inquiry into the deadly army assault on Tiananmen Square that ended those protests on June 4.
