Chinese Enrollments Drop in Britain
The number of undergraduates from China and several other key Asian countries who were admitted to British universities fell this year by more than 20 percent, according to figures released last month by Britain's Universities and Colleges Admissions Service.
The provisional figures for the current academic year showed a decline of 22.5 percent among Chinese students, to 4,848 from 6,259, in the 2004-5 academic year. The number from Hong Kong, which is counted separately, as well as
