China Joins International Competition for Foreign Students
China is joining the international competition for fee-paying foreign students.
This week, some 40 Chinese colleges and universities are taking part in an exposition in Japan aimed at attracting overseas students.
The event is the first large-scale effort by Chinese institutions to recruit overseas students, according to Yang Dazhou, an official with the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, which is sponsoring the expo.
