China-Born Researcher Says She Sold U.S. Computers to Chinese Government
A researcher formerly affiliated with American University admitted last month that she had sold U.S. technology to China.
Gao Zhan, a Chinese sociologist who lives in Northern Virginia, pleaded guilty to federal charges of unlawfully exporting 80 microprocessors, which have potential military uses. Ms. Gao, a permanent U.S. resident, also pleaded guilty to tax evasion.
