Data Points: Biggest Gainers in Federal Funds for Academic Research and Development, 2001-8
Some of these institutions capitalized on a large increase in federal dollars for biomedical research earlier this decade. Among more than 600 institutions surveyed by the National Science Foundation, the average increase was 62 percent.
